United Way of Tarrant County today announced Kenneth Anderson as its new Senior Vice President of Community Investment and Development.
In his role as Senior Vice President of Community Investment and Development, Anderson will provide leadership, strategic vision and direction to the organization in the areas of workplace campaign, resource development planning, grants, community outreach and volunteer engagement.
“Ken is an exceptional leader with almost 30 years of experience in business organizational management, fund development, consulting and government relations,” said TD Smyers, President and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County. “His vision and drive will help execute our mission and commitment to serving the Tarrant County community.”
Before joining United Way of Tarrant County, Anderson served as the Chief Operating Officer of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. Prior to the Girl Scouts, he held leadership roles for various Fortune 500 companies including The Xerox Corporation Inc., PilotAir Transportation and Republic Services, Inc.
Ken earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business as well as Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and he holds a certificate of Entrepreneurship from The Wharton School-Small Business Development Center at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
