Meet Hannah Lathen, one of the storytellers behind the scenes at United Way of Tarrant County!
As Marketing and Communications Manager, Hannah helps share UWTC’s impact through marketing, content creation and community outreach. She works with nearly every department to highlight the people, programs and partnerships making a difference across Tarrant County.
For Hannah, the mission is also personal. Her family has benefited from UWTC programs, from using VITA during tax season to receiving guidance from teammates in the Aging and Disability Resource Center when her grandparents moved into a long-term care facility.
“Growing up, that support mattered, and now it means a lot to be part of an organization that helps provide that same stability for others. The work we do is real, and it can make a difference for any family, including mine.”
One of Hannah's favorite memories was interviewing a couple whose lives were changed through UWTC's Area Agency on Aging after the husband experienced a stroke. Since much of her work happens off-camera, getting to meet them, hear their stories and see the impact of those services firsthand was especially meaningful.
"Hearing how home modifications helped them feel safer and more independent reminded me why sharing these stories matters.”
Outside of the office, Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband Bogdan and two cats, Molly and Phoebe. Fun fact: Hannah is a proud Texas Wesleyan alum. Rams up!
