GET FREE DOULA SUPPORT FOR YOUR PREGNANCY JOURNEY

Doulas play a vital role in supporting moms  throughout pregnancy, birth and the months after delivery. This kind of care is especially important for Black mothers, who face significantly higher risks during pregnancy and childbirth than white mother in the U.S.

Through our Maternal Health program, we offer free in-person and virtual doula services to expectant mothers in Tarrant County.

Your doula is there to support you, answer questions and help you feel informed and confident every step of the way.

Doula services include:

  • Prenatal sessions to prepare for birth
  • Home visits  for personalized support
  • Labor and birth support during delivery
  • Postpartum support after your baby arrives
  • Virtual consultations as needed

LyTisa "Lady" Greene, UWTC/CPAL Community Doula

LyTisa "Lady" Greene

LyTisa “Lady” Greene, a distinguished entrepreneur and community health and birth worker, is dedicated to empowering and supporting families through life’s pivotal moments. Her expertise in homesteading, healing and personal growth seamlessly integrates with her work as a doula, fostering balance and well-being. Committed to holistic health, Lady creates a nurturing space that encourages care, knowledge and transformation.

Jasmine Gregory

Jasmine Gregory

Jasmine is a full-spectrum doula, holistic practitioner, and community advocate supporting individuals and families through life’s sacred thresholds, including but not limited to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She offers whole-person, culturally inclusive perinatal support grounded in compassion, intention, and reverence. Through evidence-based education, empowerment, and intuitive presence, Jasmine cultivates supportive environments for expectant and postpartum families. In this work, she acts as a trusted bridge, connecting families to the resources and support they deserve, helping improve outcomes and redefine birth and postpartum within the community.

Lynnicia Hudson

Lynnicia Hudson

Lynnicia Hudson is a devoted wife, mother of five, and Certified Doula specializing in Postpartum Care. She has a firm foundation in infant care, lactation consulting, herbal and spiritual healing, mental health advocacy, midwife assistance, and village-based practices integrating unity within families. Her mission is to empower families and communities by removing the barriers that hinder Black maternal and infant sustainability through a thoughtful blend of traditional wisdom and evidence-based practices. Guided by the belief that it takes a village to thrive, she is committed to walking alongside families as they navigate the sacred moments, one village at a time.

Community Doula Tyra Ross

Tyra Ross

Tyra Ross, a trained full-spectrum doula, has been counseling mothers in breastfeeding since 2020 as a lactation counselor for her company, Breast Friends For Life. Following her own birth experience, Tyra identified a lack of support and resources for mothers, sparking her passion for aiding mothers in navigating the postpartum experience. She currently focuses on building healthy environments with a mother's mental health in mind.

Community Doula Maris Young

Maris Young

Maris supports families with a calm and steady presence as they cross life-changing thresholds. Listening deeply to each client’s wishes, she teaches them how to cultivate embodied confidence, make informed decisions and advocate for themselves with clarity, dignity and autonomy. She especially loves helping her clients envision how they can create birthing environments that feel safe and enjoyable. Maris is also the author of the free book “Getting Ready for Birth: A Short and Empowering Guide to Labor in Any Setting.”
