United Way of Tarrant County, Partners Support the Love of Reading

United Way of Tarrant County today announced three locations for its annual “Wild About Reading” event, Sunday, March 3. The event includes the distribution of more than 3,000 free books, reading time with celebrity readers and S.T.E.M. activities for the entire family. The “Wild About Reading” locations are:

  • Fort Worth Central Library, 500 W. 3rd, Fort Worth, TX 76102, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Bedford Public Library, 2424 Forest Ridge Dr., Bedford, TX 76021 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St., Arlington, TX 76010, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“Reading is an important part of childhood development and United Way of Tarrant County is proud to encourage reading for children and their families,” said T.D. Smyers, president and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County. “We invite the Tarrant County community to take part in this fun-filled and educational event.”

Wild About Reading is a free, annual event designed to encourage young children and their families to make reading a fun, daily activity to supplement school learning.
