I love books and helping kids, and I believe that helping kids to read gives them a great start in life.

-Dolly Parton

Established by county music legend Dolly Parton, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is an international program that mails free books to children from birth to the age of 5 monthly. The successful program was started eight years ago in Tarrant County and has provided more than 122,000 free books to children in our community.

United Way of Tarrant County offers the program to underserved neighborhoods. It currently includes 23 ZIP codes that touch 11 Tarrant County communities. Anyone who lives in one of these ZIP codes may participate in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Workforce Solutions generously contributes $50,000 annually to support the program.
