Veteran Notecard Project

Show gratitude to those who have served.

The Veteran Card Project is a heartfelt way to recognize the sacrifice, courage and commitment of the men and women who have served — and continue to serve — our country. Through a simple handwritten card, you can show active-duty service members and retired military personnel that their dedication has not been forgotten.

Who Can Participate: Individuals, families or groups

Who Will Benefit:

Active military stationed overseas and on the front lines
Veterans in nursing, rehabilitation and memory care centers across Tarrant County
Patients in Tarrant County hospice communities
Clients of Tarrant County agencies offering veteran support services
Veterans receiving care at the VA North Texas Health Care System (Dallas and Fort Worth locations)

How to Participate:

Use blank notecards or create your own using copy paper or construction paper. You may also purchase a card.
Write a message using the suggestions below. Be kind, gentle and uplifting with your words.
If you're unsure what to say, draw a picture instead — it's a great way to involve children.
You're welcome to sign your first name, but please refrain from including personal information.
Do not seal envelopes if you're including them.

There is no minimum number of cards required.
