Thank you for your participation in the United Way of Tarrant County’s Emergency Relief Fund Direct Payment Program for disaster assistance. We’ve seen an incredible response and have now received over 1,200 applications for assistance which came through your agency and many others. These applications represent over $300,000 in weather-related disaster assistance to those in need throughout the community, and we’re appreciative of all you’ve done to help make this possible. At this time, we have exhausted the initial funding available for distribution, and as you may be aware, are shutting down the application portal to receive new applications for assistance. We’re anticipating additional funding to be received in May to allow us to continue distributions for disaster assistance, and if there is an opportunity to work with you again on identifying recipients, we’ll reach out to you at that time.
