Gary Doubrava is an accounting and finance professional with over 20 years of experience in public, private and nonprofit sectors overseeing compliance, payroll, forecasting, budgeting and audits.

A dynamic professional with knowledge in risk mitigation, cash management, internal controls and strategic vision, he is a hands-on problem solver with a willingness to take on new challenges.

Prior to joining United Way of Tarrant County, Gary was the chief financial officer at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for nine years. There he led the opening of an additional Garden in Gainesville, Georgia, secured financing for future land expansion and led the Garden through the pandemic. He served as a member of the leadership team, managed a $30M annual budget, and supervised human resources, IT, retail and a full-service restaurant. Previously, he served six years at the Georgia Aquarium, and started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C., where he led audits for clients such as the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, where he also played collegiate baseball.
