As Office Coordinator, Courtney Griffins plays a vital role in keeping United Way of Tarrant County (UWTC) running smoothly, supporting Human Resources and the Area Agency on Aging with precision and care.
From managing day-to-day logistics to streamlining communications, she works behind the scenes, making sure everything stays on track.
When Courtney first learned about UWTC’s mission, she was deeply moved and compelled to be a part of our efforts to address the emerging needs in our community.
“Supporting those who work every day to improve the lives of Tarrant County residents brings me a sense of fulfillment and joy, reminding me of the meaning and purpose life is meant to offer.”
Among UWTC’s initiatives, our Maternal Health program is particularly close to her heart. As someone who experienced difficult pregnancies, she often wished a program like TeamBirth, a care model brought to Texas by UWTC, was something she had available to her.
“The TeamBirth program is designed to improve patient care by giving mothers a voice in their labor and delivery experience, something I deeply value and needed during my own experience,” said Courtney.
At UWTC, Courtney is also known as the one who brings the fun. Courtney plays a key role in planning internal celebrations, including holiday parties and staff appreciation events that keep the team energized and connected.
Courtney was instrumental in planning our organization’s recent All-Staff Retreat, an annual event designed to be interactive and meaningful, while helping staff connect and reenergize.
When Courtney is not in the office, she spends time with her husband and three children, making memories through outdoor activities and games. She also loves serving others and attending church, which helps keep her grounded and connected to her community.
