United Way of Tarrant County today announced Patricia A. Linares, Ph.D., as the new 2019-2020 campaign chairperson and Hadley Woerner as co-chair, officially kicking off the annual fundraising season.
As chair and co-chair, Linares and Woerner will work together to identify new companies to participate in United Way of Tarrant County’s annual campaign and build on relationships of current companies to increase financial support of the organization’s work in the community.
“It is an honor for me to chair the annual campaign on behalf of United Way of Tarrant County,” Linares said. “United Way’s leadership and resources have been instrumental in improving the lives of those in our community who are in need. But there is still work to be done. I encourage all businesses and organizations large and small to join us as we work to solve some of the most critical issues facing our community.”
Linares is an accomplished leader with urban school experiences in district operations, finance, curriculum and instruction, personnel, staff development and principal selection/training. She is a former interim superintendent for Fort Worth and Crowley Independent School Districts. Currently, she is an adjunct professor at Texas State University as well as a senior consultant for JG Consulting Superintendent Search Firm. As a skilled facilitator, Linares is known for her collaborative relationships with employee and community organizations.
Woerner, Tarrant County Regional President for Frost Bank, has been active in many community and professional organizations though the years. In addition to his role as campaign co-chair, he serves as a board member for United Way of Tarrant County. He is a past board chair and a current board member of Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, treasurer of the Tarleton State University Foundation, and member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce board of directors and investors council.
“Pat and Hadley have actively served in our community for many years, and I am confident they will help us reach our goals,” said TD Smyers, president and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County. “We are grateful for their leadership on our board and in our community, and we look forward to working with them on a successful campaign.”
