United Way of Tarrant County Announces Gary Doubrava Jr. as Chief Financial Officer

FORT WORTH (July 18, 2022) – United Way of Tarrant County today announced Gary Doubrava, Jr. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His first day is Monday, July 25.

As Chief Financial Officer, Doubrava will be responsible for all financial matters of the organization, information technology and facilities management. He will work closely with United Way of Tarrant County President and CEO Leah King and partner with senior leadership and the board of directors to develop and implement financial strategies across the organization.

Gary is a dynamic professional with knowledge in risk mitigation, cash management, internal controls and strategic vision.  He is a hands-on problem solver dedicated to solving any issue and a willingness to take on new challenges. Before joining United Way of Tarrant County, Gary served as Chief Financial Officer at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for the last nine years. He led the Garden through expansion by opening an additional Garden in Gainesville, GA, secured financing to acquire land to further expand the Garden in the future and led the Garden through the pandemic. Prior to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gary served as Controller for the Georgia Aquarium.

Doubrava holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Shawnee State University. He has served as a board member for Silver Knight Security, LLC (2007-2009), HOA (2005-2007) and Tyrone Youth Baseball (2017-2018).
