At United Way of
Tarrant County, what matters is results. Results that can be
measured and that change the community in profound ways.
Getting results that last takes leadership that moves others
to action. That's where United Way comes in.
For 85 years, United Way
of Tarrant County has invested resources where
they are needed most, in local programs that have the greatest
impact. United Way provides a network of care for
kids, families, seniors, people in crisis and those with
health problems.
In addition to funding services of
dozens of partner agencies and
providing grants to other local human service organizations, United Way
is working hard to create long-term change in five specific
areas. Those areas are
early learning and
development;
child
abuse and neglect;
senior isolation;
adult literacy; and
childhood obesity.
If these key areas are addressed
through creative collaborations, then many community problems
can be prevented or lessened in years to come.
United Way's Mission
To improve lives in our communities by mobilizing the caring
power of Tarrant County.
United Way's Vision
We will build a stronger Tarrant County by mobilizing our

-
Energize people to make a difference.
-

-

these agendas.
-
Increase investments in
these agendas.
-
Seek and reflect diversity
of the communities we serve.
