The Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County
facilitates or plays an active role in
several local collaborations and advocacy
efforts.
These include:
Mental Health and Aging Coalition
Senior Advocacy Coalition
Mental Health and Aging Coalition
This coalition is jointly sponsored by the
Area Agency on Aging and the Mental Health
Association. Coalition members address such
issues as depression and medication
management for older people. The
Coalition meets quarterly at the Mental Health Association of
Tarrant County, 3136 W. Fourth St. in Fort

Senior Advocacy Coalition (SAC)
The
SAC holds monthly meetings for case managers
to coordinate efforts, share resources, and
develop services. Meetings are held every
third Thursday at 9 a.m. at Cancer Care
Services, 623 S. Henderson in Fort Worth. For more
