In
addition to its longer-term partnerships, United Way has
set aside a small pool of funds in 2008 for one-time
collaborations with organizations addressing school
readiness. It is interested in initiatives such as
parent education training, training for caregivers of
children birth to age 5, and outreach/awareness
activities aimed at parents and/or caregivers.
