Tom Hund, executive vice president and CFO
of BNSF Railway, will serve as the 2007-08 chair of the
United Way of Tarrant County Board of Directors. He
replaces Mitch Weatherly, who will serve on the Board as
immediate past chair. Hund took office immediately after
the election, which was held at the quarterly United Way
Board meeting on June 19.
On taking office, Hund said, “I have been
involved in
United Way
for the past several years, both on the Board and as a
volunteer, and I am also on the Board of one of the
partner agencies. I see first-hand how the organization
fits into our community.
“The
United Way and its partner agencies are a vital part of
Tarrant County,” he added. “Our Board, working with the
United Way
staff and many volunteers, ensures that almost $25
million in donations are distributed in an efficient and
equitable manner to address the greatest needs of our
community.”
