NEW DIRECTOR NAMED TO LEAD
ARLINGTON HUMAN SERVICE PLANNERS

Patricia Wright has been named the new director of Arlington Human Service Planners. AHSP task forces investigate emerging community needs and develop solutions. AHSP is a partnership of Tarrant County United Way, Arlington community volunteers and the City of Arlington.

Wright formerly was the executive director of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Sedgwick County, a nonprofit organization in Wichita, Kansas, providing court-appointed child advocates to ensure that children have safe and nurturing homes. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental and urban systems from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia.

Wright replaced former AHSP Director Ashley Owen, who resigned to take a position with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
