Patricia Wright has been named the new director of
Arlington Human Service Planners. AHSP task forces
investigate emerging community needs and develop
solutions. AHSP is a partnership of Tarrant County
United Way, Arlington community volunteers and the City
of Arlington.
Wright formerly was the
executive director of CASA (Court Appointed Special
Advocates) of Sedgwick County, a nonprofit organization
in Wichita, Kansas, providing court-appointed child
advocates to ensure that children have safe and
nurturing homes. She holds a bachelor's degree in
environmental and urban systems from Virginia Tech and a
master's degree in urban and environmental planning from
the University of Virginia.
Wright replaced former AHSP
Director Ashley Owen, who resigned to take a position
with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. |
