Special Focus: Child Abuse and Neglect

United Way makes an impact in the community by strengthening families and keeping them together. Services supported by United Way include job preparation, family counseling and parenting education.

United Way is especially focusing on child abuse and neglect. It is working with local organizations to train professionals to recognize abuse, teach parents alternatives to abuse and counsel young victims.
