A bequest or other contribution to the United Way Legacy Fund is an additional way to make a lasting impact on Tarrant County. The Legacy Fund is a component fund of the Fort Worth-based Community Foundation of North Texas, which administers the fund.

Distributions from the Legacy Fund are used for the charitable purposes of United Way. The Community Foundation's Board of Directors is assisted in making distribution, investment and other decisions concerning the Legacy Fund by the United Way Legacy Board.
